Purpose:

The SIGCAT Foundation is pleased to announce a call for papers for the 
SIGCAT '96 Conference and Exposition.  The SIGCAT Foundation is a 
nonprofit foundation dedicated to promoting the myriad uses of CD-ROM 
applications and technology.  The SIGCAT Foundation has established 
an annual conference to allow professionals working to develop or 
implement CD-ROM technology the opportunity to gain practical 
information, learn skills and exchange information with others in the 
field as well as industry leaders.  

The conference has a special focus on CD-ROM applications useful to
professionals in the following areas:

Developer : Of interest to anyone responsible for producing a CD-ROM
         product.
Librarian: Of interest to librarian and information specialists
        responsible for implementing CD-ROM in a library environment
Manager : Of interest to managers responsioble for reengineering the the
        use of information technology in their organization.
Trainer: Of interest to anyone responsible for managing or implementing
        training in their organization. 
Archivist: Of interest to anyone responsible for archiving digital
        information or considering CD-Recordable technology.   

If you are interested in participating as a speaker at SIGCAT '96, please
submit a paper or abstract of at least 250 words describing your subject
matter and making it clear which path would be most appropriate for your
presentation. Please submit your papers or abstracts to the attention of :
SIGCAT '96, The SIGCAT Foundation, P.O. Box 3706, Reston, Virginia 22090 
no later than November 1, 1995.
